Faith Over Fear
Scripture:“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
Reflection
As the fast progresses, it’s not uncommon for fear or doubt to surface—especially when we begin praying more boldly. Fear often tries to convince us to retreat, remain comfortable, or question whether change is possible.
God’s Word reminds us that fear does not come from Him. Instead, He gives us power to act, love to trust, and a sound mind to discern truth. Fasting strengthens our faith by helping us recognize what is from God and what is not.
Today is an invitation to confront fear with faith. Rather than allowing fear to dictate decisions or attitudes, we choose to stand on God’s promises and trust His guidance.
Prayer
God, I choose faith over fear today. Help me recognize anything that is not from You and replace it with Your truth. Strengthen my trust in You and give me courage to walk in obedience. Amen.
Faith in Action
Identify one area where fear has been holding you back. Pray intentionally over it today, declaring God’s truth and trusting Him to lead you forward with confidence.
Reflection Questions
What fears have surfaced during this fast?
How does God’s Word challenge those fears?
What step of faith is God inviting me to take?
Today’s Focus
Trusting God and rejecting fear
