A Deeper Prayer Life
Scripture:“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” — Luke 11:9
Reflection
As we enter the second week of the fast, God invites us to go deeper—not just in discipline, but in prayer. Fasting clears space for a more intentional and focused prayer life, moving us beyond routine words into meaningful conversation with God.
Jesus encourages persistence in prayer. Asking, seeking, and knocking reflect an active faith—one that trusts God enough to keep coming back. Prayer is not about perfect language or long explanations; it is about consistent connection.
This week is an opportunity to deepen your prayer life by lingering a little longer, listening more closely, and trusting God with greater expectancy. God honors prayers that come from a sincere and faithful heart.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to pray with persistence and faith. Help me not to grow weary or distracted, but to seek You continually. I trust that You hear my prayers and are at work even when I cannot see it. Amen.
Faith in Action
Set aside intentional prayer time today beyond your usual routine. This may include praying Scripture, journaling prayers, or simply sitting quietly before God and listening.
Reflection Questions
How would I describe my current prayer life?
What distractions hinder my time with God?
