Rest and Gratitude
Scripture:“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Reflection
Reaching the end of the first week of the fast is an opportunity to pause and reflect. Fasting is not only about discipline—it is also about learning to rest in God’s presence. Today invites us to slow down, acknowledge what God has already done, and trust Him for what is still unfolding.
Stillness allows gratitude to rise. When we intentionally pause, we become more aware of God’s faithfulness, provision, and guidance. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to the abundance of God’s presence with us.
As we rest, we are reminded that God’s work in us does not depend on constant effort. He is faithful to complete what He has begun. Today is a moment to breathe, reflect, and give thanks.
Prayer
Lord, I thank You for sustaining me through this first week of fasting. I choose to be still and rest in Your presence. Fill my heart with gratitude and renew my strength for the days ahead. I trust You completely. Amen.
Faith in Action
Set aside intentional time today to rest and reflect. Consider writing down ways you have seen God move or speak during this first week. Let gratitude guide your prayers and renew your faith.
