Aligning Priorities
Scripture:“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33
Reflection
As we move further into this fast, God begins to gently realign our focus. Fasting not only reveals what we hunger for—it clarifies what we have been prioritizing. When distractions are removed, what remains often tells us where our attention has been.
Jesus’ instruction is simple and clear: Seek first the kingdom of God. This is not a call to neglect responsibility, but to place God at the center of everything we do. When God is first, our decisions, time, and energy fall into proper order.
Aligning priorities is less about doing more and more about doing what matters most. Today invites us to examine our schedules, commitments, and mental focus, allowing God to reorder them according to His will.
Prayer
Lord, help me place You first in every area of my life. Reveal anything that has taken priority over my relationship with You. Align my heart, my time, and my decisions with Your kingdom purposes. I trust You to order my steps. Amen.
Faith in Action
Today, intentionally make room for God. This may look like adjusting your schedule, pausing before making decisions, or setting aside time for prayer and Scripture. Let your choices reflect your desire to seek God first.
Reflection Questions
What has been competing for my attention?
Are there areas where my priorities need realignment?
What does seeking God first look like in my daily life?
