Living with Expectancy
Scripture:“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” — Ephesians 3:20
Reflection
As we enter the final week of the fast, God invites us to shift our posture toward expectancy. Expectancy is faith in motion—it believes that God is able and willing to work beyond what we can see or imagine.
Fasting strengthens our confidence in God’s power. It reminds us that our prayers are not limited by circumstance, time, or human ability. Expectancy does not demand a specific outcome; it trusts God to move according to His wisdom and purpose.
Today encourages us to pray boldly and believe confidently, knowing that God’s power is actively at work in and through us.
Prayer
God, I choose to live with expectancy. Strengthen my faith to believe You for more than I can imagine. I trust that You are at work, even when I cannot yet see the results. Amen.
Faith in Action
Pray one bold, faith-filled prayer today. Write it down and commit it to God, trusting Him to move according to His will and timing.
Reflection Questions
Do I approach prayer with expectancy or hesitation?
What bold prayers is God inviting me to pray?
How does expectancy change the way I trust God?
